He is very clever, which is also sometimes his downfall. He is
very quick to learn and picks things up almost instantly. Being very
food orientated this has really helped though i dont know how
amenable he would be without it so am yet to fully wean him off.
He is extremely energetic as we expected but seems to have calmed
down slightly since finishing the original puppy food and moving
onto the puppy/junior for large breeds. Whether this is a
coincidence I don't know. Also, as he is still so young its hard to
burn off his energy outside as we are mindful of overtiring him and
his little bones so have tried to come up with alternatives to
tiring him out. His best game at the moment, as you can imagine,
seek and find. He has a kong that we hide in the garden and he
never comes back without it; and I have put it in some quite
difficult places. He will play this game without the need for
something in return. He also eats one meal, normally when he is in
his crate, from a puzzle ball which needs rolling around in
different directions for pieces of food to fall out. I now need to
find one that is slightly more difficult.
We recently took him to woodland with a lake and he was quite happy to go into it to bring his ball back no problem. He has had a few showers and baths at home and he hates that but lakes seem ok. He has even begun to accept being dried with a hairdryer. iTo sum him up at the moment would be headstrong, intelligent and very very busy. Owner:Teresa Garrett

Twiggy has settled
extremely well and is making steady progress with her
training. As you told us, it's practice, practice and
more practice!She travels extremely well in the car;
including to Wales, a 6 hour stint. Fortunately she
remains a "pocket-rocket" at all times and amuses most
observers with her non-stop action and curiosity. She
has also grown well on your Arden Grange recommended
nosh, being a slender 11 kgs at present....not the
overly chubby sausage we collected last November!

He is very lively dog but his training is going very well I have just
started steadiness to the thrown dummy and the stop whistle
which he is doing extremely well at.
He has settled very well here and with the other dogs, we
are inseparable, he is a great friend and we work well
together and feel he will be an excellent working dog.
